The SPIDER ICT4D Cambodia Network
SPIDER has been supporting the initiative of a collaborative ICT4D network since 2012 to promote the use of ICT for development in Cambodia. Nevertheless, Spider also supports many last and recent projects implemented by Kawsang, EWMI, ODC, and WMC to develop ideas, prototypes and pilot solutions for CSOs, and building an open data platform for the needs of CSOs and its people in using those data and information for individual purposes promoting accountability and transparency in the country.
Our Aims
The Network emerged with the objective to address two main issues limiting the expansion of ICT solutions in Cambodia, namely the low collaboration between relevant actors and the insufficient capacities and information to implement ICT tools. Hence, the Network brings together a diversity of stakeholders that often work isolated from each other and provides a platform for them to connect, learn, share experiences and explore new initiatives together.
01
Improve digital capacity of Cambodian civil society to achieve their goal while ensuring an adequate compliance with the new digital regulations
02
Enhance government transparency and accountability: increase cross-sectoral cooperation to summit inputs and demands to the government
03
Effectively engage and influence relevant non-governmental actors in the policy-making process. Increase the visibility of the projects
